Tibet Plateau

The Tibet Plateau is located north of the Himalayas at an average altitude of 4,200m above sea level. This partly very unknown region has a fascinating nature. The people in this area live partly under very simple but also challenging conditions. Especially in winter this region is characterized by strong winds and temperatures below 30°C. I had the luck to visit this region several times on research trips and I hope to return sometime.
